They only way forward was to cut out the shabby pipe work and start again.

What an amazing Trip
I had the privilege last week of being invited to Hague Water Softeners awards in Columbus Ohio USA.
What an amazing trip with a stop over in New York, then two days of great talks and a factory tour.
I learnt so much from the many Americans and other Europeans that attended.
But what made the trip even better was the great company of the UK distributors. Karl and Pete two guys who constantly made me laugh but at the same time were so generous with their time.
Cycling with these two up Broadway is a memory that will stay with me for ever. Thanks

Pure Flow -ing Filtered Water
This customer wanted the cleanest drinking water he could get.
First we softened the water and then we ran it through one of our Reverse Osmosis units. A compact unit that pushes the water across an ultra fine membrane trapping the impurities and out putting great tasting water.
I am sorry
If you have one of these then I am sorry to say you do not have a water softener. This device does not remove scale. You will not have beautiful soft water or a clean shower. And it will not save you any money on soap and cleaners.
It is a nice colour though.
This particular unit was installed by a builder in a new home when the customer requested a water softener. Incompetence or a rip off?

Wareham the start of the Purbecks
We had call from a new customer in Wareham, Dorset. They had moved to the area and had enough of our very hard water.
The first problem, who has hiden the stopcock? After much searching we found it. So a Hague watersoftener in a custom made outside box, a water filter tap and a push button stopcock later all of the customers hardwater problems were solved. Did I mention we also changed the ball valve in the water tank. Happy customer

The mist brings a certain quietness to Poole Quay except for the fog horn that is being sounded every minute.
i have a gap between an install and some serving in Poole so I took some time to make calls and grab a picture or two.

What a Year- 2016
It is nearly over but doing one more little job before finishing.
So what have we done? Well thanks to our amazing staff and great customers to use an americanism- ' we knocked it out of the park', more softeners installed and serviced than last year and twice as much salt. Thanks

What Next
So what does next year have to offer- the plan more staff, bigger office and happy customers. The reality- what ever we make it.
As a foot note I must warn you that salt might be going up in the new year. Not much do not panic. Just remember that a proper softener will always save you money.

Smart Christmas
As we head towards the Christmas break I realised that our work clothes had taken a beating this year.
For the new year new clothes. Poloshirts, fleeces, jackets and hats.
We have added our Scum and Svale logo on that my son designed to remind people of the two great problems with Hard Water.

Some of these have been put in by confusion, some are misold and some are just dangerous.
None of them remove all of the customers calcuim and solve there hard water problems.
I always listen to the customers tales of woe and then let them see a real water softener in action.

A poole based housing trust recently contacted us to solve their scale problems in the office block they occupy.
Working closely with their design and maintence team we specified our amazing Hague watermax. This unit offered the best efficiencies we could find for them which was important not only from an environmental issue but also because the salt needed to be carried to the roof

The sun is low in the sky but still beautiful. I must have taken 100,s of photo's from this point over the years but I am still in love with this view.
