Cheap Chinese Water Softener
this customer left his plumber to install and buy a water softener. Two years later and no soft water later we got called to fix the problem.
Well we are good but not that good. No name, no parts and guess what no resin. Buy cheap buy twice
Worn out and badly maintained
Just been out to look at an old Euro water softener. No soft water and the motor was solid. The customer had paid for a new servo on the last service but broken again. On closer inspection the resin was worn out and had turned in to jelly. The previous engineers solution was to open the bypass giving the cutomer hard water anyway. Marked sinks and dirty showers soon followed.
Our solution. Replace the unit with a quality English made block salt water softener. No electricity and easy to load with salt.
happy softener happy customer.
Free Me. Free me now.
You can buy most things but not time. With a water softener there is less cleaning and its is so much easier.
Use your time wisely. Coffee and cakes, golf, shopping anything is better than cleaning.
I did look for an image of a cleaning man but they are somewhat in appropriate for a family audience.
How often does your need cleaning?
According to my customers every other week
According to my customers every other week. Its because they block up with calcium slowing the water to a trickle and spraying out in all directions. I have heard customers taking them apart, cleaning them with vinegar and generally getting frustrated.
In our home with soft water we have never needed to perform this boring task. We have saved money but more importantly time.
Great Cuppa
So many things go into making a great cup of tea. Temperature, timing, tea quality and lets not forget the water.
Tea connoisseurs agree that water quality is as critical as tea quality. Hard water can create a film that floats in the cup or pot due to flavanoids in tea reacting with Calcium Hydroxide in hard water. Several experts believe that hard water is simply unsuitable for tea. For example, ice tea made with hard water will turn cloudy upon cooling.
Soft water makes stronger better tea with none of the floaties plus it will keep your teapot and cups clean. Great News.
Do not forget the biscuits.
Have you ever seen
such a beautiful pair of dogs
not soft water but certainly soft and fluffy

Very clever water softener
a bit of a monster
this rather large water softener is how they do it in large homes in Germany. Twin cylinder with a sterilising system. The computer knows everything and even tells you when to put salt in.
If you have a large home and you want the Mercedes of water Softeners then give me a call and let me introduce you to our AQA perla
Pub
a Dorset pub with a water softener
we love servicing water Softeners. This unit had been misbehaving since Christmas. The owner had called an engineer in when he noticed his dishwasher scaling up. After three attempts by the other company we came and diagnosed the problem. Three days later the customer has soft water again.
More Training
Daniel and Dave getting down and dirty with the best water Softeners on the market. Our Softi S3 made for us by Harveys.
Trained staff
a great day of training
At Dorset Water Softeners we believe that it is not just about selling our customers great Softeners but also looking after that unit for its life time. That is why we constantly keep our skills updated. This is the Harvey's training area where Dave ( genius) is showing Benji ( our soon to be apprentice) and Danial ( my right hand man) the latest updates and test facilities.
By the time we left I felt we could strip the machines down in the dark with one hand tide behind our backs. haha.
We had a great day thank you Dave. And Harveys
Needs must
filling a Watwr softener
when we install a water softener for the first time we normally need to prime it with fresh water. We donot normally use a wheel barrow but unfortunately we had misplaced our filling jug. Nice colour.
The Purbecks
if you live in the Purbecks, Swanage, Corfe Castle, Studland or Wareham you know that the water is very hard. Yes I know the beach is nice but the water coming out off your tap is ruining your home and costing you money. It's because it is full of scale. The answer. A water softener from Dorset Water Softeners
This was taken back in the summer before the horrible weather
Out with the old
in with the new
this old Culligan had done sterling service for over 20 years. But like all good things it must come to an end.
The new Nuwave model on the left comes with a separate salt tank and a great 2 year warranty.
happy customer
New Harvey's Twin Cylinder
tight install for a high flow system. Other company's said they could not get one in.
A bit of extra plumbing was all it needed. Remember we do all of our own installs.
Nespresso coffee
we love our company nespresso machine. Guess what it makes the best coffee when you take out the calcium. We do that with our water softener. The great thing is that with a water softener the machine stays scale free.Lovelly.
Our new website.
We have revamped out website. The reason is so many of our customers access it via tablets and phones. Our old site had issues with these.
This new site will work on all devices. We have an update shop for buying salt and filters.
